Academic Stuff

During the 1994/1995 academic year I was sessional lecturer in digital signal processing in the department of electrical engineering, in addition to my work with the radar remote sensing group. I completed my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1994, and my thesis had to do with image formation from squint mode SAR data, and extending the chirp scaling SAR processing algorithm to solve problems in this type of imaging. My general research interest is in signal and image processing, and I also have a background in signal processing for communications, and in software development.

My current interest is in SAR interferometry and applications of SAR imagery. In 1995/96, I spent a year at DLR in Munich. I have recently started work at MacDonald Dettwiler.

Personal Stuff

I like cycling and hiking, especially when I travel to different parts of the world to do so. I speak French, although its been a while since I've had enough practice. I am also beginning to learn German. In free time, I read or do some drawing or painting.
