We usually stopped for lunch at 11:30, after 3-4 hours walking. Below 3500m it was generally sunny and warm, so we had a leisurely stop, with a hot cooked meal.

The cooks would arrive at the lunch stop about half hour before us, and get the meal prepared. We usually had potatoes, beans and sausage, often with a curry sauce.

It looks like a fried cheese sandwich on our plate today. Tineke and Ian are trying to decide how hungry they are.
